Royal Days International Folk Dance Festival

The august has been a special month in life of Székesfehérvár for more than 1000 years. King St. Stephen liked this month. After he had died, a sacral cult was created around religious feast of august and the saint king.

The „Aranybulla”, which was the second constitution in Europe in 1222, made to regulatory feast from day of King St. Stephen. In this days, which are about 20 august and called „Royal Days”, the king always went to Székesfehérvár, listened the problems of the people and organized festivity for St. Stephen.

The ancient royal city memories for the past and welcome the guests with music and dance, the most universal language of the humanity. We tend the guests with late and othet music and dance every year.
