In
2001 a new cycle of International Summer Schools in GIS began,
promoted by UNIGIS International, co-ordinated with the European
Masters in Geographical Information Science (EMGISc) ERASMUS
project and organised by University of West Hungary, College
of Geoinformatics. Based on the success and experiences from
the first Geoinformation International Summer School (GISS)
a new course will be organised in 2003.
Aims
This year GISS will focus on the area of GIS applications in Land
Management and by widening the practical perspective towards land
administration, cadastre, land use planning, land consolidation,
land development, data integration, change detection and analysis,
environmental management and nature protection. Special emphasis
will be given to the impacts of the EU accession.
